I’m involved in analysis, design and development of software applications in the manufacturing domain. The “virtual factory” is the leading theme of my work. Simulations and three dimensional visualization are the main fields of interest, with special focus on collaborative utilization and aiming to unfold the potential offered by new user interface’s technologies.

Interests and Experiences
I worked in the R&D department of Gretag Imaging Inc. in Regensdorf, leading company in the sector of machineries for industrial photo-labs for nine years. I implemented embedded applications as well as man-machine interfaces, stand alone or client-server architectures, machine controlling, image processing and connected to relational databases.
For Siemens Switzerland Ltd I was involved as software engineer in the development of different products like a tablet PC (a touch screen tablet running Windows CE), 2 Mb/s communication cards and their remote management and the integration of DVB-T functionality in a set-top box for multimedia content reception via IP (e.g. video on demand).
Afterward I was technical lead by infovel – center of excellence for sustainable mobility in Mendrisio, promoting efficient mobility systems and raising awareness.
