The main characteristic of ICIMSI is to be at the service of the companies by doing applied research. The Institute is in fact integrated in a network of national and international competence centers. The network goal is the practical support “market oriented” to SMEs. In this new world, science and technology play an increasingly important role. ICIMSI supports industry in all areas through high quality education, international recognized research and providing “market oriented” practical support to local, national and international SMEs.

The circle is closed when good research results and market innovations are brought together to offer high quality professional education at bachelor (mechanical and management engineering) and Master (advanced materials, integrated manufacturing, virtual prototyping, precision manufacturing and business process engineering) levels. Continuing education is also a strong mission of ICIMSI providing courses adapted to the needs of industry and up-to-date to technology implementation.
